Wikipedia info:
Tales from Earthsea is a feature anime film from Studio Ghibli, released in Japan on July 29, 2006. It was the first film directed by Gorō Miyazaki, son of Hayao Miyazaki [yes, the same person who wrote Spirited Away and Laputa: Castle in the Sky]. The film is loosely based on a combination of plots and characters from the first, third, and fourth books of the Earthsea series, A Wizard of Earthsea, The Farthest Shore, and Tehanu, by Ursula K. Le Guin. A manga adaption of the film has been published in Japan.
I actually thought this animated film was released somewhere in the 80’s because of its being rather classical. This is a good movie, however, there are just scenes that remain unclear towards the end of the movie. If you don’t get what I mean, you better watch this movie “Tales from Earthsea.”
